The COACH method gives us a step by step guide on how to draw out the thoughts, opinions, and perspectives of others ( Webb, 2019, p.35). Through the use of simple conversation, particularly powerful questions, I learned that I could assist my clients in making self-discoveries (Webb, 2019, p. 67) and gain a new self-perspective. According to Ephesian 4:11-13, "He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." As I function as both Christian coach and pastor, my main objective is to help others gain God's perspective in their personal lives or the business arena. My goal is to bring clarity and direction for the seemingly challenging and painful circumstances or transitions my client may be facing. I use the Experiencing God Workbook: Knowing and Doing the Will of God (Blackaby & King, 1994) as the basis of our foundational teachings for new members in our ministry. It was refreshing to learn how these same seven realities from Experiencing God apply to my life coaching process. As coaches, our responsibility to connect the client to God rather than try to explain or interpret the client's circumstances (Blackaby & Royall, 2018). As clients come to me for coaching, I can effectively guide them through their transition while simultaneously teaching them how to know and do the will of God. References Blackaby, H., & King, C.
