Decimal always comes in after the 3 rd character. Icd can go up to 2 digits Icd-10 can go up to 3 digits only The first 3 digits are main category, once it goes beyond the (.) it’s an anatomical code. If there is 7 th code in diagnosis. It means for example if there was an accident or anything they add the 7 th code to identify it. 1. Tabulate the differences between ICD9 and ICD10 - 10 points. 2.
