2 In the first unit of CM220, I believe I have learned the basis of persuasive communications and how to effectively use them. Our reading laid out the baselines for how to identify persuasive writing or speaking, and how to examine a form of communication to determine if it is persuasive or not. By utilizing persuasive communications in the future, you can ensure that you are capable of negotiating terms and conditions for employment, negotiation of contract terms, and other conditions that are contingent upon you performing a certain task. This is something that is very common within the field I am striving for, and in preparation for this goal I have, I have set multiple goals in front of me in order to see continuing progress throughout. One of my main goals is to ensure that I keep a proficient writing ability as it will only benefit me when writing security reports for clients and supervisors. In order to consistently accomplish the goals that I have set before myself, I must continuously set realistic goals that promote growth. Without the constant desire to achieve the goals you set, success begins to wither away, and you strive for less. One of the most important things for me to grow and advance, I thoroughly enjoy constructive criticism and seeing visibly where I can improve. When it comes to critique on my assignments, it helps to see what was done wrong and what adjustments could have been made in order to meet criteria better. As I set forward through this course, the major help that I feel I would need to be met with the proper feedback regarding assignments. If there was anything that I could ask my professors to help me out with throughout the term, it would be constructive feedback in order to understand what I displayed correctly and the areas where I fell short. This is important for growth as you must learn what went wrong before you can ever correct it.
