Question: How can career theories help you understand the career decision-making process? I find that career theories will help with the understanding of the decision-making process by displaying and providing different perspectives for the employee. The theories are more like perspectives instead of personalities so at any given time, the individual will be able to change the approach or mix the two theories to target a higher, complex goal. Question: Out of the four theories, which one do you relate to most? Give an example. Happenstance theory is the one that I most relate to due to the decision-making process that I use. Whether in the workplace and/or education, I feel like adaptability would be the main skill for this type of theory. Adaptability is being able to evolve to any situation regardless of the outcome or current obstacles that are interfering with the result. From leaving work early due to kids to having a flat tire. These are events that lead to critical thinking, in which we must be adaptable to the expected results that we would like to happen.
