CPE schedule table - This course covers the characteristics of an authentic leader which include presence, mindfulness, social and emotional intelligence, and leading by caring. Being present is important so those who you are leading see you as a person and not just a boss. A mindful leader is receptice and compassionate to those they are leading. Having a social and emotional intelligence is leading by caring and seeing the other persons views. It is listening more that talking less. Lastly, is leading by caring. This is caring for those who you are leading and being compationate towards them. The three life management strategies that demonstrate attributes of an authentic leader to me are being transparent, haig a passion for your leadership, and effective self monitoring and discipline. 10/2/20203 45 minutes 1b. Written reflection summary - The SEI are common practices that are used daily. I was able to identify areas I can focus on to improve my leadership skills. I want to improve my active listening skills. In order to do this I must be fully present and listening closely. This can be improved in my professional and personel life. Another area that I believe I can improve upon is selfcare and stress management. I believe this two practices must be addressed in a society that is becoming more aware of the need for caring for mental health. 10/6/2023 1 hour
