To the professional enrichment program committee, My capacity to accept criticism, communicate effectively, solve problems, and engage in critical thinking has all improved as a result of my studies at SNHU. Proficiency in writing essays and emails, using PowerPoint presentations, and public speaking are examples of educational abilities. The pomodoro technique is a tactic that has empowered me to overcome obstacles in my academic career. It made it easier for me to manage my time by having timers for each step of a project. ... keeping me concentrated on the current activity, since often if I work on anything for too long, I tend to overthink it. I use the abilities I've acquired every day at work. The art of speaking to an audience and maintaining their attention. Gaining insight into diverse cultural values facilitates improved understanding of colleagues. During our professional development day, I was able to conduct professional development seminars. meetings centered on leadership and teamwork. This has aided me in understanding the value of teamwork in the workplace from a professional standpoint. as well as efficient communication techniques. My learning both personally and professionally has been influenced by attending SNHU. For me, it has shown me that returning to school is something I can definitely handle. Remaining goal-oriented and concentrated will pay off in the long run. It has aided me in my efforts to advance professionally at work. My ability to communicate and work with my team has improved as a result of my ability to take criticism from my managers or teammates. I've gained value to my team as a result of this. Some of my favorite projects have been those that focus on professional practices and professional development goals. I learned how to break down my long- term goals by sitting down and going over my professional development plan. then demonstrating to me what was required to achieve my immediate objectives. Professional practices made me realize how crucial it is to convey to my staff members or associates how much I appreciate them. Numerous other projects taught me how to maintain organization and strike a balance between work and life. My creative side came out in other project types that taught me how to use presentations. The struggles I have encountered are primarily personal to me. being tough and lacking self-assurance. The largest obstacle I have been able to overcome is self-doubt. This has enabled me to advance both professionally and personally. Despite my tendency to overthink things, I've learned to relax, take a deep breath, and stop. In order to keep moving forward and conquer these challenges, I have to remind myself that mistakes are acceptable and that you don't always get things right the first time. And that I shouldn't doubt myself because I am competent at what I do. I'm not
required to be flawless. All I have to do is set and accomplish reasonable goals. As long as I remain committed and work hard, it's acceptable if I don't. Receiving feedback on my work has made it clearer to me that it's acceptable to fail at something. I was able to learn how to use the criticism provided to strengthen my project. Most of the time, mastery of a project required only two attempts. In order to educate my students that it's acceptable to be incorrect, I have applied this at work. If they have made an error, I could see it as a way to provide them with feedback so they can improve that particular skill. Receiving feedback is a crucial part of learning and developing both professionally and personally. The methods used in the educational profession where I work are always evolving. I needed all the feedback I could receive when I first started. I would sometimes agree with that feedback and other times I wouldn't. I learned how to be better and was able to advance in my field once I agreed. I would always ask for more thorough comments if I didn't agree. For me to be able to comprehend their perspective. With the additional information, I was able to learn from others in addition to seeing things as I see them. I have always gone to my bosses for feedback. to ensure that I am progressing appropriately in my line of work. In many ways, the majority of the input did alter my strategy. Prospective avenues for professional growth include pursuing further education, taking part in training, and expanding my knowledge through practical experiences and real-world issues. Making every minute matter, managing stress, and maintaining confidence are all aspects of personal development. With appreciation, Rachael DoRego
