2 Reflection An effective leader can translate dreams into significant actions by personal effort or by guiding others who can accomplish an organization's vision. A strategy is required for an organization to reach its mission. The plan outlines the action for achieving the organizational vision and mission (Daft, 2022). Organizations need to have an organizational culture. An organizational culture enables an organization to be flexible to the external environment and gives ground for members to relate to each other. Culture can either be responsive or resistant. Leaders in responsive cultures are mindful of employees, customers, and processes and ensure that they effect positive change. Leaders in resistant cultures are concerned with their needs, and their actions discourage organizational change. In a dynamic world, change is an essential tool for the survival of any organization. However, employees might resist change because it violates an organization's and employees' personal relationships (Daft, 2022). Question 1 Although vision is crucial in giving an organization direction, there are various reasons why commentators and analysts might critique a new CEO's focus on creating a vision for a company fighting to survive. Analysts might argue that the CEO should focus on short-term tactical goals that address the company's urgent survival requirements (Arvidsson, 2023). Financial stability, operational effectiveness, and addressing existing problems might be the most pressing issues in a crisis. Furthermore, some critics tend to emphasize the execution of the vision. During distress, a company should focus on actionable steps that stabilize the company rather than drafting a vision (Arvidsson, 2023). Question 2
3 It is not a universal requirement for every organization to have a noble purpose to succeed in the long run. However, the chances of organizational success are enhanced for organizations with a noble purpose. A noble purpose improves employee engagement and commitment, customer satisfaction, and organizational culture. Also, it enables a business to maintain a competitive advantage (Daft, 2022). One of the companies that reflects each category of noble purpose is Patagonia. Patagonia is renowned for its excellence in products and for encouraging a spirit of discovery through outdoor exploration and adventure. Initiatives like the Worn Wear program in Patagonia promote altruism. The company also demonstrates heroism by advocating for environmental issues like climate change (Haski-Leventhal, 2021). Question 3 Providing subprime mortgages that attract high interest rates to poor people is exploitative. High interest rates increase people's financial burdens, making it difficult to fulfill their mortgage obligations (Tori & Gallegatis, 2023). It will eventually result in property loss, foreclosure, and financial hardship. Additionally, when considering the role of financial incentives in subprime lending, the notion of noble intent becomes ambiguous. Mortgage loan officers often receive commissions depending on the number and size of loans they originate. It creates a conflict of interest because the loan officers will prioritize the shorter financial gains over the long-term financial security of the borrower (Tori & Gallegati, 2023). Question 4 Organizations have already undergone substantial changes due to the coronavirus pandemic, which will probably have a long-lasting impact on organizations. One of the changes is the increased adoption of digital technologies because companies adopted new operating methods (Dimitriou, 2020). Companies are likely to invest in automation and artificial

4 intelligence to improve customer service and efficiency at the workplace. Also, organizations will increase their online presence and capabilities to meet evolving customer expectations. It is achieved through incorporating e-commerce, content, and email marketing and integrating virtual assistants into a company website for customer support.
