District/School Level Current State of Technology Our school district focuses on an educational technology plan. The plan ensures adequate up to date technology across the district and ongoing training. The district is home to 6 elementary schools, 7 high schools, 5 middle schools, a career technical academy, and 1 virtual learning academy. Every school is provided with updated technology equipment to serve the needs of the students. Every classroom has a viewsonic board with wireless capabilities along with a classroom set of chromebooks. Students use technology as a part of their daily learning along with teachers. Teachers are provided a laptop device to use on or off campus as long as the work adheres to board policy. State of the art computer labs are also throughout the district.
Current state cont. Students use an online platform called schoology/edmentum to access digital assignments. This allows for flexibility in case of school closures, national emergencies, etc. Education must continue. All devices are provided with chargers, webcams, mouse keypad, etc. Student’s also have access to printing via usb cable in the media center. Each device is installed with webex for teacher video conferencing for virtual classes. The technology department constantly checks for updates to equipments and installed a firewall for safety blocks.

Vision for Technology Technology will be used to meet the needs of all learners. It is our mission to enquire new and exciting ways to engage learners and help them reach their full potential. We strive to use the most up to date technology to create, gauge, and encourage collaboration amongst teachers, students, staff, and community stakeholders.
Technology Goals Goal 1: Provide a device for each student. New students will be given a student number with 24 hours of enrolling to ensure device checkout. - We want to ensure each student is able to continue to check out a device and take one home if they need to catch up on assignments. Students must follow the proper checkout procedures. Goal 2: Prepare students for a safe online learning platform - We want to ensure students are practicing safe online behaviors and know how to access each learning platform.
Needs Assessment Parents, students, and staff completed an eProve survey and provided feedback on ways to improve technology learning. Parents requested more Powerschool assistance. Answers varied from password reset to checking grades. Students requested more assistance with accessing instruction on third party platforms such as edmentum and edgenuity. Teachers requested more access to digital bulk printing throughout the building and classroom hotspots for areas of the building that lose network connectivity.
