1 Part II: Personal Leadership Profile Part II: Personal Leadership Profile Grace Hilderman Colorado State Global ORG 405: Principals and Practices of Effective Leadership Dr. Cyfers May 14, 2023
2 Part II: Personal Leadership Profile Introduction I am honored to have the opportunity to introduce myself as a potential leader within this organization. My profile will illustrate how I can be an effective leader by highlighting my leadership style, values, abilities, strategy, followership, and leadership vision. Leadership style My leadership style is collaborative and transformational. I believe in empowering and developing my team members while also challenging them to reach their full potential. I strive to create a positive work environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and risk-taking. Values and personality Integrity, respect, and compassion are values that I hold dear. As a leader, I believe in leading by example, and I am committed to creating a culture of inclusivity and diversity. I am an optimistic person, always seeking to find opportunities in challenges, and I strongly believe in the power of positivity. As a leader within my restaurant my values lay as being the hardest worker in the room and go above and beyond for my team Abilities One of my abilities in my work is motivating others. I understand that motivation is crucial in achieving goals and objectives. I inspire my team members by setting clear expectations and goals, providing feedback, and recognizing their efforts. Communicating
3 Part II: Personal Leadership Profile Communication is a fundamental skill for any leader. I am an active listener and value the importance of clear and concise communication. I am skilled in providing constructive feedback and delivering difficult messages in a way that is respectful and empathetic. Team-building: I believe in the power of teamwork. I encourage collaboration, recognize individual strengths, and build trust and respect amongst team members. Relationship-building: I understand the value of relationships in achieving organizational goals. I am adept at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members. Innovation Innovation is key to organizational success. I am open to new ideas and approaches, and I encourage my team members to think creatively and share their ideas. An example of this within my current organization is I was able to help my team develop an effective way to overcome an obstacle. This occurred this past Saturday as our ice machine in our drive thru was being fixed, I thought to use another form of ice from the lobby in a pitcher this way the customer experience of having a cold refreshing beverage would still leave the customer satisfied. This led to others taking the initiative to fill the pitcher. Strategy Style My strategy style is goal-oriented and data-driven. I believe in setting clear objectives and developing a roadmap to achieve them. I use data and metrics to measure success, identify areas of improvement, and adjust courses as needed. “Their leadership styles thus have to adapt to the characteristics of their subordinates and their unique task environment to perform best in their organizations” (Hur, 2008).

I value the input and opinions of my team members, and I encourage them to share their perspectives. I believe in creating a culture of trust, respect, and transparency, where team members feel empowered to take ownership of their work. I have found that I enjoy it when different individuals who I look up to congratulate me on my work therefore I want to reciprocate the same for them. Leadership Vision My leadership vision is to create a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. I strive to empower my team members to reach their full potential, and I believe in fostering a collaborative work environment where everyone's contributions are valued. Conclusion To conclude, leadership is not only expressing your vision for the store in my situation but how you as a leader can help others realize their vision. The strategy I use as a leader to motivate those in my workplace differs depending on the person represents a leader's ability to adapt no matter the situation or the person. As this continues to enhance the relationship between everyone who I work with. Not only can I continue to enhance my leadership traits by watching how leaders guide the team.
