Question A Introduce yourself to your peers. Hello, my name is Francis Ash, I’m a native of Virginia, born and raised. I have traveled the world and loved every moment. I played 8 years of semi-pro football at a high level. I also served 24 total years in the Army both Enlisted and as an Officer. Within the 24 years of service, I deployed 5 times. Iraq 2003-2004, Africa 2008-2013, and Kuwait 2014-2015. While on my first deployment in Iraq I lost my hearing when I got blown up and life changed at a blink of an eye. After numerous surgeries and a year in the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) I decided in 2017 to retire at Ft Bragg, NC where I later taught JROTC for 3 years and I loved every moment of that. During the heart of COVID we moved to Oklahoma in June of 2020 so my wife could pursue her dream of teaching at the school where she attended Bible College in Tulsa, OK. She followed me for 24 years, so it was my turn to follow her. I now work at the Tulsa Veterans Affairs where I AM THE Business Service Manager for largest service they provide (Primary Care). Providing for Veterans like myself is very awesome. My wife teaches Bible at Victory Christian School where my 12-year-old son attend, and I volunteer to coach baseball and basketball it’s my way of giving back to the youth. I am also a member of the Victory Church Dream Team as he Head Usher. I like to laugh, joke, and have lots of fun. I have been with Grantham since 2008 and working on my third degree with 3 classes away from my masters. I have knowledge of this subject and look to gain as much more as I can from the resources we have, from the instructor and you all as classmates.
