Give the total days lost through absence.
•
Calculate the total cost of absence based on a 37 hour week.
•
To do this, divide 37 by 5 to get total hours per day. Multiply hours per day by each employees hourly rate to reach a day rate. Multiply their day rate by the number of days they were absent to get a total cost for each employee. Add these together for the overall cost.
