Report
My supervisor even uses to do random walks just to monitor and see if everyone was working. We had to submit an excel sheet of all the electronic cases we did by the end of the day so she can see if we was working. I felt uncomfortable in a work environment like that. I felt like a controlled robot that didn’t have a mind of their own. I Gained a lot of skills like meeting my deadlines on time and multi-tasking and just using my time wisely under a tight time frame. I learned many positive outcomes which is being able to manage my time efficiently, so I was able to meet deadlines and not panic about being under a tight timeframe. The positive skills the leader demonstrated that I may incorporate into a leadership training program is ‘’adaptability’’ which is being able to adapt in your environment and the job responsibilities and being able to complete your deadlines and completing your job duties that were assign to you. Being able to leave a command-control style environment and taking what you learned from the situation will help Demonstrate your full ability to those leaders and others around the organization. The ideal leader to work for in today's VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) is not controlling and leaders who treat their employees as adults and I think supervisors and leaders should take training and coaching on how to treat employees and they should get evaluated yearly by employees on their leadership abilities. If there were more leaders that implemented a plan that involves VUCA maybe the employee turnover rate wouldn’t be so high, and it wouldn’t be so many employees leaving the company.
