These policies involve accordance with individuals with the necessary skills to become successful. They can give information about why certain things are done. When it comes to international suppliers there are protocols and strict regulations that must be followed. There is certain paperwork that must align with the products being transported. Processing may take longer due to language barriers or incomplete documentation. This is opposite of domestic transport. Most of these deliveries have a shorter turnaround time and they can make more deliveries, ensuring to meet the needs of the customers. There are security polices to ensure the protection of American from any possible threats. This also includes protection from cyber threats. The article explains carbon emissions reduction and how it is related to the supply chain industry. I discussed how the carbon footprints of products from the beginning stages to completion impact the demands in the market. It details how the government has input on the reduction of certain policies and how it affects the retailer and manufacturer. “The reduction of carbon emissions is a world-wide concern,” Wang, C., Wang, W., & Huang, R. (2017). Critique: The article broke down different levels of emission reduction and how the government has an influence on the decision-making process. Some things I do agree with although there are some decisions that I feel are not the best. People want to know that the taxes

3 that are paid is going to be beneficial for improvements and not a waste of time. I have little knowledge about how emissions plays a role in the supply chain industry. There are still so many things that I am learning when it comes to the logistics side of things. There is an entire process before products are ready to be picked up by carriers. I do believe that this ties in with the prices of certain things as well. It also detailed how certain things are still in the beginning stages. Whatever the final decision is, I am sure that it will be beneficial to everyone. These are some of the things that are required, and most people do not have a clue about. Application: This is knowledgeable information that can be used in the beginning stages of the supply chain and logistics industry. It should be available to anyone joining such an industry and can be issued along with any training manual. There can also be a brief power point or video that gives a synopsis of how things go from point A to point B. In my opinion it will give reasoning of why certain things are done and the order of processes that must be completed. Having knowledge of this will benefit any company, especially when there is someone that is clueless regarding supply chain and logistics. It opened my eyes to things I was unaware of in this field.
