How to address to these issues: In addressing the issue of poor communication, I require to manifest various aspects governing my aspired leadership role in the IT field. Firstly, I would train myself to develop the skill of being able to communicate with my team members in a passive aggressive manner depending on the situation I have to deal with so that I can direct my team towards achieving the goals of the company. Secondly, I also need to develop my skill of being able to listen to the team members which can be a vital part of developing my communication skills of being in a senior role. This skill developed in me can help me in connecting with the team members effectively and improve relations with them so that the entire organization can be better work towards the goals. While addressing the issue of improving my influence at the workplace, as a leader I must try to lead people by setting proper examples and by helping in developing a successful and welcoming environment at the work so that respectful relationships can be developed. To refine on my strategic thinking issue, I need to develop the skill of anticipating scenarios. I must be able to make tough calls and manage time in every manner so that the company goals never get compromised. Challenges faced while addressing these issues: One of the biggest challenges that I might be facing while addressing to the issue of communication skills gap in me is that I might misinterpret the feedback that I can be receiving from my team mates at times. It can also be challenging for me to develop communication skills that turn quite convincing for the team members.

While working on my influential skills, I might be facing the challenge of effectively inspiring others which is extremely vital for being able to lead the team. The challenge would also be about learning how I can delegate tasks to others and get them done with the give timeframe. To develop the strategic thinking skills, it can be challenging for me as I have to develop the ability of improving on my own ideas as well the ideas of the others in the team so that innovative ideas can be come up with for improving the performance of the organization as a whole. How to deal with these challenges: To deal with the communication challenges I will require working on being able to communicate with clarity while interacting with the team members. This can help me in making them aware of the goals of the company in a better manner so that they get a bigger picture of what is being expected from them. Further, I will work on developing a positive tone while communicating so that the overall performance of the team gets improved and I am able to deal with my team with patience. To handle the challenge of developing on my influential skills, I will need to be physically present at the complex situations of the company and motivate the team members accordingly so that proper team dynamics get developed and I am able to establish healthy relationships with them. To turn into a good strategic thinker so that my leadership skills get better reflected in my dream organization, I will handle the challenges by listening to the ideas of my team members so that the best one can be selected and informed decisions can be made in this regard.

Based on this analysis decide to pursue your aspirational goal: The analysis made above has inspired me even more to take up the challenging role as a leader which I have always got aspired to achieve. By developing on the above leadership skills that I lack and my applying those that I am good at already, I think I would be able to justify my role of being a strategic leader in the process and help the organization move towards success and sustainability in the coming years.
