2 MEMORANDUM DATE: TO: Board of Directors FROM: Executive Director SUBJECT: Recommendations for Engaging Fundraising Professionals Background Save the Elderly is a for-profit organization headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and has been in operation since it was established more than twenty years ago. With its organizational vision of providing housing, food, and clothing Shelter to the homeless elderly population, Save the Elderly partners with wide-ranging agencies and entities to provide supportive and care services to help them return to a productive society. In its twenty years of operation, the organization has always worked in collaboration with other entities not only towards achieving its vision but also to realize its mission of providing necessities, medical care services, and rehabilitation counseling for the homeless and elderly population across the state of Florida. Save the Elderly is currently working across major cities in Florida, supported by a team of fifty volunteers and thirty dedicated staff working across its officers in the subsidiary branches. The annual operating budget for Save the Elderly organization is $ 1 620 6580. Therefore, the recommendation would be to engage the fundraising professionals during the economic sessions when most people can donate and engage in philanthropic activities. Changes in the economy with globalization significantly affect fundraising activities (Rrustemi & Tuchschmid, 2020). When the fundraising professionals are involved in the donation event, they would be able to support Save the Elderly in pitching its programs to attract more donors and support in creating a compelling proposal that would make it easy for the organization to understand the program scope of the organization. In brief, therefore, widening the scope of the
