Unit 1 Assignment
The goal of my team is to conduct a 2-hour documentary on the Incursion in Ukraine due 6months from now. The team consists of myself, a photojournalist who reported during the war, a stateside reporter, along with a reporter who was on the ground in Ukraine, and an editor. Our
first meeting will take place on Jan 9
th
and will go over timelines, means of communication, and conflict management. Our deadline is to have the 2-hour long documentary completed 6 months from Jan 9
th
, 2024. We will have 2 meetings a week on Monday and Fridays via phone or video conferences to ensure everyone is on track and that the information from all parties are being submitted to the editor in a timely manner. All footage needs to be submitted at the 4-month mark to give enough time to finish the video portion of the documentary, all voice overs due at the 5-month mark leaving the final months for reviews and touch ups.
Any conflicts will be handled by myself as the primary and the editor as the secondary with
the affected team member in a conference together with the final say so coming from the primary
or the secondary. For example, the stateside and overseas reporter have different opinions on how to go about the project so the 3 of us will sit down and I will hear both sides of how to handle the project and make my decision based off what we are trying to accomplish and our deadline (Rodgers, 2015).
Each team member has different strengths and weaknesses for this documentary with the overseas reporter strength is the accuracy of information from Ukraine along with the photojournalist providing the accurate visuals. Their weakness is the only view point they have is
single observation of Ukraine and unable to see it from a worldly view. The stateside reporter

strength is being able to contribute how the conflict is view here in the USA and help the editor by interpreting the information provide from the overseas correspondents. This will help the editor who will be the primary on compiling the information provide in a documentary format for streaming.
