2 Defining and describing the Process of \"Rightsizing.\" Rightsizing is a business term that describes the process of making structural changes to a company's workforce and operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and adjust capacity. It may involve reducing the number of employees in a business, consolidating or eliminating departments, or restructuring current roles and responsibilities. Rightsizing can be an effective strategy for companies seeking to streamline their operations and maximize their work efficiency (Hernandez-Campoy et al., 2018). It is essential to note, though, that while easier said than done, the process should be considered carefully and weigh heavily on the consequences of layoffs, restructuring, and other changes that could have far-reaching implications for the business. The first step in rightsizing is to analyze the organization thoroughly. Companies should consider all aspects of their operations, from technology to resources to personnel and skill sets, to identify where costs can be reduced, and efficiencies improved. This should involve a data-driven examination of the entire Company's operations, including financial and non-financial factors. Understanding how and why current operations are inefficient and what cost savings can be achieved is essential. Once the analysis is complete, companies should create a plan or strategy to " rightsize" their operations. This should include changes to personnel such as layoffs, skills upgrades, and position changes. It may also require the creation of new roles or merging departments to better align with goals. Additionally, any physical space issues should be addressed, such as relocation or office or warehouse space reductions. The next step is communicating these changes to the entire organization. This requires an open, transparent process that is respectful of employees ( Jibang et al., 2020). The Company should provide employees with enough information and explanation of the rightsizing process and its purpose so that they understand the context and
3 how it affects their jobs. Any layoff announcements should also include information about severance packages or any other forms of assistance that may be available. Implementing the rightsizing strategy itself is the next step in the process. Companies should make sure that the changes are put into action in a timely and respectful manner. Depending on the scale and scope of the changes, this could take some time, but it should remain on track. During implementation, managers should have 1-on-1 conversations with staff to provide support throughout the process. Lastly, the companies should monitor the results of the rightsizing process to ensure that it achieves its intended outcomes ( Li & Leung, 2021). This means looking at financials, such as cost savings and the impact on operations, personnel, and morale. These results provide essential feedback and can be used to make further adjustments or changes if necessary in the long run. Company Lawsuit for Web Accessibility Failure Web accessibility refers to making websites accessible and easy for people with disabilities. In the United States, all public websites must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This law guarantees that people with disabilities are provided the opportunity to access websites with ease, just as any other user would. Failure to comply with the ADA can lead to lawsuits and hefty fines. One of the most prominent examples of a company failing to support web accessibility was the 2017 case between the National Federation of the Blind and Scribed Incorporated ( Nguyen & Subeli 2019). The National Federation of the Blind, an organization dedicated to promoting equal access to the Internet for people with disabilities, sued the digital reading platform Scribed after it discovered the Company's website and app were not adequately accessible to its blind and low-vision members.

4 The lawsuit accused Scribed of multiple violations of Title III of the ADA, focusing primarily on the lack of support for using screen-reading software, such as Voiceover and Narrator, on both the website and app. By not providing support for such software, Scribed restricted its blind customers' access to the same information and resources as sighted customers, thus forcing them to use inferior ways of accessing the platform. Ultimately, the case went to court, and a settlement was reached between the two parties. Under the settlement agreement, Scribed agreed to completely redesign its website and mobile app to be accessible to all users, regardless of disability (Hernandez-Campoy et al., 2018). The issue of web accessibility has continued to become increasingly important as the need for equal access to the Internet becomes even more pressing. The Scribed settlement shows the legal implications of failing to abide by federal accessibility requirements, and similar suits are likely to arise as more attention is drawn to this issue. For a company's website to be compliant, designers must consider the needs of individuals with disabilities regarding the visual, audio, and code elements to make the website as accessible as possible. Usability for disabled people will also need to be considered, such as ensuring that navigation is easily navigable via standard website tools. Lastly, in the case of Scribed, there must be support for third-party software that can help those with vision-related disabilities use the website as quickly as those with no vision impairments. Organizations that fail to make their websites accessible and usable for everyone risk the possibility of being sued. They may also face the public's wrath, as users who cannot access a website due to a lack of accessibility will likely take to social media to air their grievances (Jibang et al., 2020). Thus, it has become increasingly important for companies to ensure their websites are accessible to all users to avoid potential lawsuits and maintain customer relationships. Web accessibility lawsuits, such as the one between the National Federation of the
5 Blind and Scribed, demonstrate the severity of non-compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Companies must take proactive steps to ensure their websites and apps are accessible to all users, or they could face severe legal and public consequences. With web accessibility becoming increasingly pertinent, companies must prioritize inclusivity and accessibility in their design strategies to ensure all users can access the same experience when using their websites. Defining and Describing Green Computing Green computing uses computers and other electronic devices in an environmentally conscious and energy-efficient way. This means using renewable energy sources, reducing the amount of energy and resources consumed, and understanding the impact of computer use on the environment (Li & Leung, 2021). It is a movement that aims to reduce the negative environmental impact of technology by reducing energy consumption and pollution and making the most of resources. It also promotes technology for sustainability, such as energy-saving technologies that use renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. Green computing focuses on reducing the environmental impact of hardware and software used in computer applications. The most common methods used include using hardware and software designed to be energy efficient, reducing the amount of energy consumed in data centers, and encouraging cloud computing. Additionally, green computing seeks to reduce the amount of electronic waste, or e-waste, produced and to promote recycling products that can be reused or recycled. Green computing also seeks to reduce the use of materials and resources that can damage the environment, such as toxic chemicals and greenhouse gases. Green computing has significantly impacted customer buying decisions as companies are increasingly aware of the importance of ensuring their products are made with materials that are not environmentally harmful and are energy efficient (Hernandez-Campoy et al., 2018).
6 Customers are more likely to choose products that are energy efficient or have certifications such as the Energy Star certification. Companies are trying to make their products greener by using energy-efficient processors, memory, and other components and creating software and websites designed to use less energy and resources. Additionally, customers have become more conscious of their impact on the environment and desire options that are better for the environment. This means that companies are reducing their environmental impact to remain competitive and further appeal to customers. This includes switching to renewable energy sources, reducing the amount of energy and resources consumed, and using environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. These measures have resulted in the development energy-efficient products and reduced electronic waste, making green computing an attractive and desirable option. The impact green computing issues are having on customer buying decisions is significant, as customers are becoming increasingly aware of their impact on the environment and looking for products that are sustainable and energy efficient (Li & Leung, 2021). Companies are also responding to this demand by creating energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products and encouraging the use of cloud computing and renewable energy sources. As the demand for green computing continues to increase, companies must adapt their products and practices to remain competitive and meet customer demand.
