Do you foresee any issues with the proposed implementation of your project? Identify a
strategy to help create or sustain a higher level of readiness to change with your organization and discuss how current research or literature will be used to ensure that change is based on current evidence.
I do foresee many issues with the implementation of the project. For this project to be brought to fruition, it requires the collaboration of many stakeholders at the earliest stages of the project in the first place. It is a multidisciplinary healthcare team effort in which the Spanish language must be spoken, and a tremendous effort must be made to teach, guide, and the participants. Furthermore, the resources needed for the project can be overwhelming for the
organization, and this can bring the project to a halt or not even be implemented at all.
One of the strategies to help create or sustain a high level of readiness to change in my organization and to effectively determine if the organization is ready to take on the project would be utilizing two organizational readiness tools. The first would be the Quality Improvement (QI) tool because it requires teamwork. This tool guarantees continuous effort to achieve improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness of the organization's goal (Kelly, n.d.). the second tool is the Organizational Readiness to Change Assessment (ORCA), which measures the organizational readiness to implement evidence-based practices in clinical settings (Organizational Readiness to Change Assessment (ORCA) Tool | NCCMT, n.d.
Evidence-based practice drives patients' care and quality healthcare delivery to our communities and worldwide. Plenty of literature and research data have been gathered from unnumbered health research and studies that can significantly benefit innovative ways to approach modern-day health issues. Such research data and literature are validated when results show that specific practices benefit patients' health and well-being. Furthermore, evidence-based practice is the continuous and judicious use of current best evidence in conjunction with clinical expertise and patient values to guide healthcare decisions (Titler,
2008). Even more, by ensuring that all stakeholders are fully knowledgeable about the evidence provided by literature, we can minimize biases, skepticism, and unwillingness to participate in the project and encourage them to commit to the organization's willingness to change fully.
