Assessment instructions Table 1 Assessment instructions Assessment details Instructions Assessment overview This assessment aims to assess your knowledge and performance in communicating through written and oral methods in the workplace and within an industry. Assessment event number 2 of 3 Instructions for this assessment This is a case study assessment that assesses your knowledge and performance of skills required by the unit. This assessment is in one part: 1. Establish a workplace communication plan And is supported by: Assessment feedback Supporting documents Submission instructions On completion of this assessment, you are required to submit it to your Teacher/Assessor for marking. Where possible, submission and upload of all required assessment files should be via the TAFE NSW online learning platform. Ensure you have included your name at the bottom of each page of documents you submit. It is important that you keep a copy of all electronic and hardcopy assessments submitted to TAFE and complete the assessment declaration when submitting the assessment. What do I need to do to achieve a satisfactory result? To achieve a satisfactory result for this assessment you must answer all the questions correctly. Assessment details Instructions What do I need to provide? TAFE NSW student account username and password. If you do not know your username and password, contact your campus or service centre on 131601. Computer or other devices with word processing software and internet access Writing materials, if required What the Teacher/Assessor will provide Access to this assessment and learning resources, including the student workbook and any supporting documents or links. If completed on campus, computers, datasheets, reference text, organisational policy, etc that are referenced in the assessment. These may be hard copies or made available online. Assessment feedback, review, or appeals In accordance with the TAFE NSW policy Manage Assessment Appeals, all students have the right to appeal an assessment decision in relation to how the assessment was conducted and the outcome of the assessment. Appeals must be lodged within 14 working days of the formal notification of the result of the assessment. If you would like to request a review of your results or if you have any concerns about your results, contact your Teacher/Assessor or Head Teacher. Part 1: Establish a workplace communication plan Task 1: Prepare documents for communication Your supervisor Zlata Dimitrovich has sent you the following message: “As online meetings on Teams are happening regularly now, it is important that staff have a set of rules or expectations for staff to follow for these meetings. We would like to get some workplace information and instructions from staff about what they think could be included. We will be having a meeting with other staff from our section to brainstorm ideas. In preparation for this meeting, I would like you to make a list of three rules that could be included in the online meeting rules and expectations. I have provided you with the template you need to record this information. Once you have completed this task, you will be presenting and discussing these ideas so we can clarify the three main ideas that our section would like to submit for consideration.” The completed template below will be required for Assessment 3. Task 2: Draft communication plan You now need to plan your communication depending on the scenario that is applicable to you. Now that you have identified your suggestions for the online meeting rules and expectations you need to develop a communication plan to ensure that the communication with your team members is effective. Communication plan To plan for the most appropriate communication, complete the table below by answering the following questions: Table 3 Communication plan Question Responses 1.
