What are our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats? - A business will operate at its full potential when it understands its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and possible threats! What is the advantage of using appreciative wording when focusing on an initiative? - The advantage of using appreciative wording when focusing on an initiative is that it fosters a sense of optimism. This allows for people to feel more relaxed and lean towards listening. This allows for people to feel like they are allowed to collaborate or be more involved which increases productivity. People will also respond more when they feel comfortable and appreciated which only supports the initiative. 7. Discuss how you could apply Appreciative Inquiry and/or Strategic Doing in your job. - I have been working in Human resources the last couple years. WIth that being said Human Resources is a lot of people interaction which can be difficult since you never know how people will interact with certain things that happen. This can be a job that you can get burnt out from, with that being said I can apply appreciative inquiry and strategy by creating a more open environment for people to voice what they need while also being that support. I have learned that people tend to be nicer when you come from a place of understanding and listening. This also solves problems a lot quicker when you know what the problem is. If I can be that person that promotes listening and understanding while appreciating that person who came to me I will really succeed in my career of HR.
8. Discuss how you could apply Appreciative Inquiry and/or Strategic Doing outside of your job. - I can use appreciative inquiry and strategy by creating a more appreciative and positive environment for my daily life. By being aware of how I speak to myself and making sure it's more of a positive and an intentional approach I will create a better mental mindspace. When noticing the negativity and turning it into positivity it will get me much further in life and work and make my day to day more enjoyable.
