Please, as aforementioned, be working through the components for week five: major assignment 1 shortly due. If you wish, send me via email your PI, problem statement and purpose statement for my informal review prior to assignment deadline please do so. Please reread the initial post listing for week five’s major assignment. At my sole discretion , if necessary, an allowance of one opportunity to rewrite portions of the major graded assignment 1 to improve a grade and resubmit will be granted. But the initial product must indicate a comprehensive attempt and reflect tutorial guidance. The re-submission will be sent directly to me at john.billings @mail.waldenu.edu and is due within one week upon initial grading submission within Canvas. Please ensure the assignment uses qualitative terminology. "Effect on" or "relationship between" is quantitative language and will result in points deducted. 1. Please label each component: problem statement, purpose statement, research question , and annotated bibliography . 2. Please use the following prompts: a. Problem Statement [read the following example] Contextualize the problem - A local, public school system is seeing a significant rise in the number of students with palmtop computers. While policy restricts the use of palmtops within classes there has been inconsistent adherence to the policy between classes. Simultaneously, informal assessments by teachers indicate some students using the devices to inform learning while other students are engaging social platforms. Staff are in conflict as to how to proceed (Glass & Klang, 2019). Defend the significance – While legislated education reform mandates improved academic achievement for all disaggregated student subgroups, there has not been significant and sustained improvements (Essa, 2017). Research indicates palmtop computers may advance individual and whole group student achievement (Ganimian, Vegas &Hess, 2020) indicating research on how to introduce palmtop computers within classrooms may be of significance. Make clear the objective of the proposed study: The proposed study aims to solicit teachers’ perceptions on how to permit palmtop computers within classrooms and how to optimize the devices for student learning. b. The purpose of the proposed qualitative study using [identify likely data sources] is to ... The completion of the statement must align with the problem [use reciprocal language] and research question. Feedback to posts/assignments within week three should be incorporated into the unfolding product. 3. Highly recommend is the use or proposal of one or two well-stated research question . prompts within the qualitative research textbooks of the course. Questions beginning with is, are , or does are not correct prompts for qualitative research questions. 4. Please ensure APA 7th edition is used for formatting and academic writing as the scoring rubric requires. This announcement is closed for comments Apparently I totally screwed this assignment up….the professors response Kimberly: the title page is malformed [see attachment]. Delete ": Major Assignment 1." and have title reflect actual topical content. There is no introduction. There is no dedicated phenomenon of Interest subsection. The proposed problem statement subsection starts with a sentence indicating a cause for a problem is already known and corrective action is already determined. Yo do it again in the second sentence. This is why PI is so important to success. The PI is something to do with errors being made while 65 years and older self-medicate. The assertion is then to be fully developed and supported by research. Thereafter, the problem has something to do with a gap in knowledge as to why...[finish the idea]. There is a purpose statement is just plain erroneous. I qualitative study never addresses non-compliance. Instead, a qualitative study seeks unique perspectives on why a PI unfolds and endures. Why does non-compliance occur? And from whom will you garnish insight? You write: "ne approach is to encourage and facilitate the utilization of digital health. " So now you are asserting corrective intervention having never researched contributing cause. Blatant predisposition and bias. Besides, how many over 65 year olds can regularly access "digital health"? Then, in the same study you are going to originate a unique healtcare system? The proposed purpose statement does not include critical/prescriptive elements previously shared within the course [data collection tool/participants/etc.] The purpose implies you are predisposed to already know cause. Research question subsection is not fully

developed. You are "still working" on them? Again, the first research question operates on some very many predispositions? I do not know what to do with the question. The second question is an entirely different study which is none of the two implied under purpose.The annotated bibliography subsection is not fully developed. The annotated bibliography [just annotations] are to embedded within the product after the problem statement. The annotations do not reflect consideration of the course announcement offered in week one: General Assignment Guidelines. If you wish to redraft and submit without penalty you are welcome to do so. I have attached what I submitted. Please help.
