Class Dojo
ClassDojo creates a positive school. Classroom culture (ClassDojo, n.d.). ClassDojo helps to track the student’s positive behavior in the classroom. Teachers can invite parents to ClassDojo to view their child’s progress (How to Use ClassDojo for Management in Upper Elementary, 2015) in the classroom. ClassDojo cab be used on the phone, tablet, or computer through the ClassDojo app (How to Use ClassDojo for Management in Upper Elementary, 2015). If everyone in the school is on ClassDojo, the teacher can share their classes on dojo (How to Use ClassDojo for Management in Upper Elementary, 2015). Everything on ClassDojo is instant. Parents will know as soon as they check the Dojo app. ClassDojo has a built-in messenger feature (How to Use ClassDojo for Management in Upper Elementary, 2015). Parents can check their child’s progress and quickly message the teacher to ask any questions. Teachers can comment on the students points as they are given.
Students can log in at home on the Dojo app and customize their own monster avatar (How to Use ClassDojo for Management in Upper Elementary, 2015).
Smart Boards
Smart boards are interactive display that is used by the teachers to use a whiteboard, lessons are projected, play videos, and give different presentations, and display any types of content the teacher is trying to present to the class (Smart Board 101 for Teachers, n.d.). A smart board is like a large tablet that the teachers and students can interact with (Smart Board 101 for Teachers, n.d.). Smart boards are designed for education (Smart Board 101 for Teachers, n.d.).
Teachers and students can draw pictures on the touch screen smart board. Teachers can use
images or write on the Smart board
(Stealey, 2023).
Teachers can use the smartboard to use for timers and stop watches and to help gamify the learning environment (Stealey, 2023).
Smart boards can be used for the students to interact with during a subject manner and to manipulate objects tight on the smart board (Glaser, n.d.). Smart boards can have interactive lessons that help get the students up and out of their seats and use hands on learning (Glaser, n.d.).

Video Conferencing
~
Video Conferencing is used by the students and teacher to connect using the same platform in technology (RingCentral Team, 2023).
~~
Video Conferencing helps to create real world situations trustworthy for students (Steinhauser, E., 2022). ~~~
Teachers that use Video Conferencing can expand the student’s learning by bring the world to the students and the students to the world (Steinhauser, E., 2022.
~~~~
Teachers can use video conferencing to hold virtual parent/teacher conferences having both parties involved (Steinhauser, E., 2022).
In the classroom, teachers can have guest speakers virtually (Steinhauser, E., 2022.
Online Learning. If students were to have a snow day or severe weather the teachers can do lessons through online Conferencing (Video Conferencing in the Classroom — TrueConf, 2022).
Teachers can hold Virtual Field Trips (Video Conferencing in the Classroom — TrueConf, 2022). Virtual Field Trips are free, and the teachers can go anywhere.
Document Camera
~
Document cameras are used for transparency projectors (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019) for the students that the teachers use. The teachers project documents, assignments-and anything else digitally using a document camera (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019).
~~Document cameras can be used to follow along in a textbook or novel when a student/teacher are reading aloud (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019).
Document Cameras can be used to display handouts as a whole group activity in the classroom (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019).
Wit younger students a document camera can be used to bring story time come to life and help to ensure that all the students are able to see the pictures (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019).
When teachers want to display an in class writing they can use the document camera to go over the writing with students (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019).
The document camera can be used as a Show and Tell (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019). When a student has a special material/object they would like to show to the class, the teacher can put the object/material on the document camera so the whole class can see the object/material in a more detailed manner (6 Best Uses for Document Cameras in the Classroom, 2019).
Computers
Teachers using computers in the classroom is a wonderful way to increase student engagement, help the students to use technology, and make the teachers life easier (typingcom, 2018). To maximize the benefits of
using technology in the classroom, the teachers are to have clear rules and expectations for computer use (typingcom, 2018). Teachers are to teach students from day one on how to effectively use the computers. When teachers teach the students to effectively use the computers the students learn and be more responsible to use technology (typingcom, 2018). Teachers are to teach students how to manage the computers (typingcom, 2018). The teachers are to teach students to be responsible users of the computers to access only appropriate sites that are given to the students (typingcom, 2018). Teachers are to set aside few minutes of the beginning and end of a lesson to ensure the students know how to save and store their work and be able to find their work the next time (typingcom, 2018). Teachers are to teach students to respect others on the computer using a positive respectful tine (typingcom, 2018). Teachers are to show the students that they can connect with other students or peers around the world.
Technology can provide students with instant assess of information and resources. Teachers are to show students to enhance their technology learning to use online platforms and Digital Libraries (Sutherland, 2023). Computers or technology allows teachers to offer students diverse ways to connect the students learning with real world learning (Sutherland, 2023).
Technology in the Classroom
Part 2: Reflection
Teachers creating an inclusive classroom will help their students by enhancing the students learning performance (Technology to Support Equitable and Inclusive Teaching, n.d.). Teachers using technology gives the teacher the opportunity to differentiate the student’s learning
instruction to their students’ needs (Lumen Learning, 2021). Technology also helps to bring everyone together. Technology is everywhere in the world. It is particularly important for teachers to have technology in the student’s learning environment. Teachers are preparing their students for the future (Lumen Learning, 2021).
My Classroom
In my classroom I use a smart board. I use the smartboard for lessons, time, games, music, and brain breaks. Everyone gets to see and be part of the smartboard. The children love using the smart board for learning games.
To stay in contact with my parents I use ClassDojo. ClassDojo is how I interact with my parents. We post pictures in the Dojo every day. When I have extraordinary events that are happening, I post on Dojo. The parents are very reactive with Dojo. Parents love to see the pictures of their children on Dojo. It also gives them peace of mind that their child is safe and learning.
I make sure all throughout my day I am having my students have opportunities with technology. During center time the students have opportunities to work on the Smartboard with it
being learning games or drawing. There is also a computer/tablet that is put out for my students.
I want to do whatever I can do to help prepare my students for their learning and for future learning.
