Wit entries Wit Entry 6 – Thomas Paine created a rhythmic feel by utilizing new methods, unexplored areas, and more. The lines "I have heard..." are a crucial part of the opening paragraph that signal Thomas Paine's intention to present a counterargument. This suggests that, in contrast to his statements, he is responding to calls and ideas from other people instead of coming up with his own. He responds by saying Paine is demanding total independence. Some say that because Britain kept America safe from the French and Indians, the colonists were able to survive. With gratitude, sent. But as Paine points out, Britain's backing of America was only economic. Wit Entry 4 – Franklin suggests that we are not able to achieve moral perfection because our desire to be good is not strong enough to falter. It necessitates breaking negative habits and forming positive ones. It requires more than just ambitious thinking and strong convictions. In the end, developing and breaking habits is the only way to attain moral behavior. Franklin's qualities appear to be habits. Every aspect of life where exercising self-control is covered by them. Every aspect of life where exercising self-control is covered by them. They all appear to be highly moral qualities that require much instruction in self-control. The representation of the ideal human being that each of the 13 qualities possesses is what ties them all together. The concept of humility—"Imitate Jesus and Socrates"—is the most unexpected virtue. What intrigues me about this is that, rather than
just providing a behavior model, he is steadily raising the bar for his listeners. Being silent is a crucial virtue because if we could learn to limit our speaking to only things that would help other people, our reality would change dramatically. Our inability to control our tongues leads to conflict. However, it is something that can be learned, which will result in a more peaceful setting. I would place a different value on the sector. Why not take full advantage of this time gift? We may do more and be more successful if we deliberately work to use our time rather than waste it. And last, being sincere is a wonderful trait. How dishonest people are to those around them is the most offensive quality of people in our culture. It was sincerity that caused the anguish. If people would just learn to be more sincere, relationships would be so much more authentic. Living modestly might be difficult because you may question whether it is truly humble of you to think that way when you feel as though you have mastered it. Usually, when I own up to my faults, I think of myself as humble. It's not hard for me to acknowledge my flaws; nonetheless, accepting that I'm not perfect is somewhat challenging. Due to my constant fear of being harmed or condemned, I frequently struggle to acknowledge my flaws. Being choosy about who I open out to makes it hard to have vulnerabilities. It was easier for me to concentrate on how I might grow as a child of God after reading about Benjamin's attributes because growth is only attainable through Christ and not by my own power. Wit entry 5-
"I offer you nothing more" is how Paine succinctly states his point of dispute in his speech. More precisely, "nothing more" enhances the arrangement even more than the introduction does. "Nothing more" implies that since he is simply providing the information required to bolster his argument, common sense will be easy to accept and adhere to. Paine urges his readers to set aside presumptions and quit being dogmatic about their beliefs in the first paragraph of his essay. He wishes for them to listen to him since he speaks in a sensible manner.
