Online Romance Essay "Oh, what good will writing do? I want to put my hand out and touch you. I want to do for you and care for you. I want to be there when you're sick and when you're lonesome" (Wharton). The internet is a great source to yield romance yet it proves futile when an honest love is what is sought. The search for true romance is world–wide, it feeds the dreams of young boys and girls and of older, wiser adults; it permits their fantasies to steadily burn deep within their hearts. Despite the wisdom of these men and women, the call to romance is too captivating to dismiss. Romance is seen and heard through means such as television, music, and novels, people long for it transforming the need for it into a never–ending pursuit, whether the ...show more content... I love you for all that you are, and all that yet remains a mystery to me. Although I `speak' through the computer, my words come from the heart, true friendship is hard to find but I believe that I've found it in you. Stories such as these have been passed throughout the internet. People are finding a "true romance" on–line but the sad truth is that most of these relationships are doomed due to dishonesty or a mental figure which is impossible or extremely difficult to match. The author of the above passage says that they love the pen pal due to the mystery behind their knowledge of each other. Possibly the mystery of their true physical appearance or of their personality which isn't obvious through emotionless communication. It is possibly a mystery that guards the two parties by keeping them emotionally detached (despite the words of "love" in the passage) to a certain extent. Therein lies the key to the door that leads to a successful and fulfilling relationship. The mystery that allows the parties to picture their on–line "buddies" as the Romeo or Juliet of their generation is what keeps the air of romance amidst but romance is not love. An example of this is apparent in Meghan Daum and her article "Virtual Love", she states that physically meeting her pen pal only soured the relationship with "PFSlider" which worked so well on the computer screen and through the wires of the telephone (260). The aura of mystery surrounding the written word on the Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Sampling Methods Essay Sampling is the framework on which any form of research is carried out. A suitable sample that meets the inclusion and exclusion criteria of a research design must be chosen from a given population to carry out studies. In this essay comparison is made between stratified random sampling and convenience sampling. The population on which the researcher is interested in carrying out his or her research may be too large, therefore a suitable sample which can represent the population in correct proportion must be chosen. Restraints such as limitation of time, resources and many other factors necessitate the selection of a sample for research purpose so that better quality data is obtained from it and that the researcher can make statement about ...show more content... The methodological strength and weaknesses of this two sampling methods is discussed in terms of identifying the samples for research, the representativeness it possesses to the general population, the methods and the outcome. Stratified random sampling is a probability sampling where the selection of sampling unit is left to a random process, all units in the sample has an equal and non– zero chance of being selected on a probability ground or chance and not on the choice or judgement of the researcher (Sim,J and Wright,C. 2000,). Convenience sampling is an example of non probability sampling where the selection of the units is not by chance, rather it is dependent on the researcher's judgement, the researcher decides the samples to be included in the study which may be subject to availability, time, individual preferences etc. The probability of selection of a particular sampling unit may or may not be known. Stratified random sampling is commonly done in quantitative researches. When the samples reflect the characteristics of the target population in the same proportion; assumptions can be made on generalizing the data acquired from these samples provided it has been done correctly, since it is statistically representative (Sim,J and wright,C.,2000) but sampling error Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

We Are Not Alone Essay We are not alone! On September 28. 2015 NASA held a press conference, and as we all know they found water on our neighboring planet Mars. Some people ask what that means, well I can tell you. It means that you are not alone! Water is the source of life and we found it on a planet just beside us. Imagine what we would find out there in other galaxies. Maybe a greater civilization a much more intelligent and stronger life form. We need to be ready, we need to unite! For thousands of years we have fought against each other. We have had many wars, wars that killed thousands of people. We humans are truly our own biggest enemy, and history proves it. But I say we fight against each other no more. We need to look past our differences, we need to stop looking ...show more content... If we look at the facts, we live in our solar system containing 9 planets. Our solar system is only 1 out of 200 billion solar systems in our milky way galaxy . And our galaxy is just 1 out of a 100 billion galaxies in our universe. That really puts the size of the universe in perspective, and it makes you realize how big the universe actually is. I believe that those facts are enough to proof that we are not alone in this universe. It may be scary for some to thing about that there is something out there like us, maybe even stronger and smarter than us. But think about this they might be scared about the exact same thing. If we are alone in this universe is on of the biggest questions in science, in religion its already answered. They believe that the Earth is the center of the universe and that the stars and other planets first came after. And science says something else. But no matter what we "believe" in, we can never "know" for sure. And it is the knowing part that we need to focus on. And there is no better time than now to start doing Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

The issue of medical error is not new in health care organizations. It has been in spot light since 1990's, when government did research on sudden increase in number of death in the hospitals. The organizational structure is as important as culture for health organizational to provide best care to patients. According to Glickman, Baggett, Krubert, Peterson, and Schulman, (2008) "Organizational design is a formal, guided process for integrating the people, information, and technology of an organization, and serves as a key structural element that allows corporations to maximize value by matching their corporate design to overall strategy." This way of thinking has a close connection with the " youthfulness" or the ...show more content... There are some who have a good job with middle–high salary, they don't think they need to worry as they can afford to pay their debts soon. They never thought of being in emergency such as they might lose their job or in case they get divorced. I myself experienced a hard time at my first year at my university living far away from my family. Lacking financial management skill, I just spent and bought everything I like without thinking about, managing, and tracking my expenses. As a result, I went out of money soon and cannot afford to necessary things after that. 3. 'aspirational': – spending to "keep up with the Johnes' meaning a person is easily want to have the things that others have. He/she is likely to be influenced by others or environment. For eg: A Single Mother, Sally, lived in Rural for a long time, after that she move to the town near her daughter's school. She start to wanting and needing more material things to fulfill her large house. Then she gradually buy more items. Consequences: they might buy the things that they do not really need. The 'aspirational' way of thinking is where people had a particular aspiration that strongly influenced their expenditure. Documented Documentary Jose Antonio Vargas documentary titled Documented opened my eyes to things I have never knew or particular looked at first hand from a person in his situation. Watching the film it was very touching and enlighten to bring awareness to something many people experience here in America. Something that stood out to me was how he was and known Journalist for many companies like The Huffington Post, The Washington Post and many others. Living like any person would go day to day you would never know that he was considered and illegal immigrant. This is something I think has no definition it has a vast majority of people from different geographical locations from all over the world. Even looking at the film and biography of his life it just shows you how he came from the Philippines but he easily came over to America and was able to adopt the culture and learn the ways of how things worked here and dropped all his old ways. Like many of the children in the film shown they came here at young ages and this is home for them they are just as American as anyone born on this land. Many of the children in the film were part of the organization Called DREAMERS. Under the President Obama he has deported more than 2 million people back to the country they were born in, on the other side the DREAM Act was also passed under President Obama .This Act allowed children who have came to America and under the age of 29 years old to be eligible to be able to become documented citizens and this would help them be able to access the rights by becoming an American legally. This law was helpful but only if you fit into the required age limit , people like Jose who were just a year or two over the required age are still left out of becoming documented Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Documented Immigrants To be able afford a home in the United States, some type of immigration status is needed because taxes and rent needs to be paid. Also, obtaining a job with a reasonable income needs to be received to be able to pay the rent, otherwise many immigrants remain homeless, live in shelters, and live with a family member or friends. A documented immigrant receiving a median or higher income is able to afford a home or afford to live in an apartment. In public housing, also known as section 8, many documented immigrants are eligible, but of course just like any other American who would like to live in federal housing has to wait a period of 5 or more years until the home is ready for them. This expanding body of knowledge and expertise has been melded into medicine becoming the gold standard of care, in addition to possibly the only manageable way to extract precise and up to date clinical information. The evolution of EBM has been thoroughly evolving since its inception into the lexicon of mindset of medicine . It is believed that Evidence based medicine is relatively new to the practice of medicine, the initial exposure is dated only to the 1970's, and its implementation to the 1990's, as far as many researchers can deduce,1 given what the body of research has presented. The utilization of mid–level providers increases the efficacy and the gross lack of access and affordable healthcare for most Americans. The current status of nurse practitioners is that there has been a documented increase in the levels of fear regarding EBM, nurse practitioners have been shown to not trust, or to not posses the skills to calculate the necessary mathematics to evaluate EBM research, especially and specifically the measurement of clinical outcome among EBM 4 information. It has been shown that the technology of the nurse practitioners' education has not been advantageous to their ability to apply EBM, 5 and thus they have ultimately experienced a difficulty harnessing and implementing EBM because of this inherent educational weakness. Evidence Based Medicine/Practice has been a field of concern for the educational model since its inception into the lexicon of medicine.
