2 Self-Reflection List 1. My experience volunteering at the homeless shelter and soup kitchen in Los Angeles, California and donating to my local church for the homeless was a humbling and meaningful experience. It reminded me of the importance of giving back to the community, and how I can make a difference in someone’s life, no matter how small. The experience allowed me to become more aware of the struggles and hardships of the less fortunate, and opened my eyes to the need for compassion and understanding. It also helped me realize the importance of having a sense of purpose and how I can use my resources to help others in need. 2. My role during the experience was to serve meals, donate food and supplies, and provide emotional support to the homeless people I encountered. I also worked with other volunteers to clean up the area and organize the donations. Additionally, I was responsible for communicating with the church and other organizations to ensure that all donations were received and properly utilized. 3. Other volunteers who were involved with the experience included members of my local church, staff and volunteers from the homeless shelter, and members of the community who had also come to donate or provide support. There were also representatives from local organizations and businesses who had come to donate food, supplies, and money to the cause. 4. The people who benefited from the experience were primarily the members of the homeless community in Los Angeles. They received meals, clothing, and emotional support from the volunteers. I participated in this experience because I wanted to make a difference and show my support to the homeless community.
