It also supports social and emotional development by encouraging interaction. Your role/role of others (Teaching and learning strategies/scaffolding, supporting children) As a teacher, I will read a story using different voices and encourage children to listen actively. I will ask open- ended questions to promote discussion and critical thinking. Differentiation (Ways in which the activity can be adapted for children with different/additional needs)
For children with additional needs, I will provide visual aids and simplify questions. For those advanced, I will introduce more complex stories. Description of play activity/opportunity will read a story about farm animals and use puppets to act out the characters. Afterward, we'll have a group discussion about our favorite parts and why. Reflection- Reflect on own role in relation to the provision for supporting personal, social and emotional development in own setting (What have you learned about: planning, differentiation and the enabling environment, your own professional development needs?) Reflection: This activity showed me the importance of using engaging materials and adapting questions to meet individual needs. I realized I need to incorporate more diverse stories to cater to different interests. Learner name: Learner signature: Assessor / Tutor / Supervisor name: Assessor / Tutor / Supervisor signature:
