Gramática A
Los verbos reflexivos en el tiempo presente
REFLEXIVE VS. NON-REFLEXIVE
Many verbs can be used both reflexively and non-reflexively.
In general, the reflexive use refers to an action that we do to or for ourselves; the infinitive ends in -se.
The non-reflexive use refers to an action that we do to or for someone else.
Reflexive use: despertarse
Me despierto temprano.
I wake up early. (Literally: I wake myself up early.)
Non-reflexive use: despertar
Despierto a mi hija a las nueve.
I wake up my daughter up at nine o’clock.
