I have a little bit of experience with theater and live performances but
overall not much. In high school, my freshman year, I had an acting class. In
this acting class we learned a lot about live performances and we watched
and performed many too. I can't recall what some of the performances
that we performed on stage were, but I remember going to a live show of
"Grease" at my school. It was really good, I'm not sure if a musical counts
but it was a really great experience that I will never forget. Beyond that
specific class, I have never really been involved with anything that pertains
to theater, my acting class is the closest to it. So I feel like being in this class
will help educate me more. I am excited to become informed on all things
pertaining to theater and live performances. I would say that i'm pretty
experienced with theater, especially with the technical side of things. My
grandparents showed me various musicals and plays while growing up and
I got very involved with theater when I joined high school. I was able to
experience many things through drama club, such as attending festivals,
traveling to Tampa for our state competition, and seeing Hamilton live at
the Broward Center. I was lucky enough to get accepted into the advanced
theater class for 3 years in a row, where I learned a lot of information
regarding theater and theater etiquette. One of the biggest things that
helped me discover my love for theater was being able to see Phantom Of
The Opera live as well, which to this day is my favorite show.
