High School Graduation Essay Graduation Through out life people go through so many hardships. Whether it be good or bad there is always something that comes out of the situation. One of the most exciting but yet scariest events would be graduation. For a lot of people, graduating from high school is a goal. It takes a lot of time and effort to achieve that goal. In the long run , it opens a lot of opportunities for people to succeed. Graduation is the end of high school, and the beginning to life. I can almost remember that day like it was yesterday, I awoke like on any other school day. It was a gorgeous May morning, the rays of sun flittered through my miniblinds blinding me as if I hadn't seen light in days. I sluggishly dragged my limp body out of ...show more content... Once I was finished, I gathered up my cap and gown and my car keys and headed out the door. All the graduates had to meet in the high school library an hour before the ceremonies started, and I promised one of my best friends Tony that we would go together. I knocked on his back door and let myself in like I always do. All of his family members were running throughout the house trying to get ready. I asked his mom where Tony was and she proceeded to tell me that he was in the bathroom getting ready. I tapped on the door and walked in. He was standing in front of the mirror with his cap and gown on. He look me straight in the eyes and said," Can you believe that we are about to graduate?" I replied," No, it really hasn't set in yet." Tony finished getting ready, and then we left for the high school. The parking lot was filled with all the other seniors' cars. Tony and I walked into the library ten minutes late like usual, and the principal had already started giving instructions. I found my place in line and then was all ears. I couldn't help but look around at all the others. Smiles were plastered on their faces as if they had heard a hilarious joke. Once the principal concluded his speech, the whole senior class paraded down the hallway to the commons in two uniform lines stopping just outside the gymnasium doors. We could hear the band warming up and playing songs. All the people that were standing around me were bubbling Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
Example Of Personal Narrative In High School My family has always been very close; we did almost everything together, from the moment the school bell rang in the afternoon until we went our different ways in the morning. Growing up with a strong family for support instilled in me the confidence to be an outgoing person and express my opinion in school, despite the fact that I was always one of the youngest and smallest kids in my grade. I went to public school up until high school, when I decided to follow my sister to Nazareth Academy. During the first year of high school I wasn't very involved in my parish, but I was very involved at school. I played soccer and volleyball and was a member of several clubs. The first time I ever considered the priesthood was during a Sunday Mass late into my freshman year; it was right after I had received Communion, and I was kneeling in the pew watching the priest clean the altar, when I was overcome by the beauty of the priesthood. I remember thinking how amazing it is to be able to serve a parish and consecrate the Eucharist. This was such a powerful moment, that I began to cry in the pew. After that experience I began to pray more seriously about my vocation. It was also my freshman year when I began my Confirmation preparation classes. I didn't attend most of these ...show more content... One of the largest contributing factors was the beginning of the emcee program at Notre Dame. Serving as an emcee helped me learn more about the details of the Mass and the priesthood. It also gave me opportunities to get to know Fr. Pat Mulcahy and the deacons better. During my junior year, I started to attend morning Mass most days before school. Waking up early to attend these Masses taught me that discipline is necessary to maintain a good relationship with God. Although I didn't necessarily enjoy waking up extra early, I did begin to enjoy those morning Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Sample Of Admission Essay For High School My whole life I have been invested in doing what I love, focusing on my true passions, as well as finding new ones. I have been very involved in my high school, and have been lucky enough to be a part of multiple clubs and activities. Without these activities, my high school experience and life would be a lot different. I have been an active drama club member, a part of 'Bottlecappers,' a club advocating anti–drug, alcohol, and bullying to younger students in my district, and many other community service opportunities. I am lucky to have the opportunity to be in these activities, as they have shaped me to be the young adult I am today. Before I even entered high school , I obtained a love of theater and the performing arts. I have been singing and acting since I was nine, as well as on and off dancing since three. Taking classes at a local theater really introduced me to this interest of mine. When I entered high school , an injury kept me from doing shows. But now I graduate with nine high school shows under my belt, as well as being in multiple community theater productions. Being a part of these shows made me feel a strong sense of belonging, and whether I was an ensemble or lead ...show more content... As I had mentioned earlier, I am part of an anti–drugs and alcohol club. I am extended the opportunity to speak to young students about the risks they could encounter. The feeling that those students may look up to us is very meaningful, and I feel it is a unique experience. I am lucky to have the chance to save a student's life through this club. Another community activity I enjoy doing is related to performing, but at senior citizen homes. Some of my friends and I often just like to get together with some music and go sing for them. This is a rewarding experience, as seeing the senior citizens smile, and making their day better, is truly a heartwarming experience every time I have the chance to perform for Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

My High School Year Essay There was a point in my time where I enjoyed school and took pleasure in attending school and that was elementary. Those were the best school years of my life, having nothing to care about, the school lunch was unbelievably amazing and we had recess. Middle school was manageable but was also beginning to become tough because the classes were becoming difficult. As we approach the beginning of our high school career, parents and teachers always tell us students that it's the best four years of our life, which in my case I did not find high school fascinating or enjoyable. I found high school to be very stressful, overwhelming and not easy, understanding that the next four years of my life will be filled with obstacles and challenges that I will face. I knew that I would have challenges with my courses, but I did not think I would have trouble with my emotions such as feeling depressed, sad, or that I would cry every other day, but to some teachers or parents thought it was normal for teenagers because we are going through different phases of our life. My freshman year was probably the best year of my high school year but I did face many challenges. I was immature, did not obey my teachers, always getting in some sort of trouble. I was carefree, fun, outgoing and had decent memories whether they were good memories or bad memories. Towards the middle of my freshman year I found out that I had Hyperthyroidism, and was quite confused and did not understand what it meant. As I Get more content on StudyHub.Vip
I woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, there wasn't a problem, so I just went back to sleep. The next time I arose from slumber was when the chirping of my alarm clock cut through the defining silence of my apartment. "Yay halloween." I said with more sarcasm than anything else. I personally hate the season, all the stores are always crowded with parents and people trying to buy candy. The only thing I really like about this time is me and my wife's anniversary is on this day and every year she wants to go to the carnival. Scarefest every year, she knows I have really bad memories at this time of year. When I was ten my dad tricked me into thinking I could see dead people but it was just a mirror maze and the worst part is Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

High School Admission Essay Sample My passion has always been music. I may not have known it, but it always has been. From a young age, I've always humbly considered myself a "smart kid"– a kid who has good grades and big plans for the future. By age 5 I had it all planned out– I would take all advanced classes, be involved in extracurricular activities, and grow up to be a doctor, scientist, astronaut, or have any sort of career that reflects my self–declared intelligence. In fifth grade I was placed into the "gifted and talented" program, and I was on the right track to become the super–genius adult I always expected myself to be. However, the next year, middle school began, and offered an array of new experiences. In middle school, teachers began showcasing the new and exciting ...show more content... One by one I felt my career possibilities being limited: I can't be a doctor– I can't handle blood, and I can't be a scientist– I can't deal with a lifetime of chemistry or physics, and I can't be an astronaut– I'm scared of confined spaces. I had given up, and convinced myself that I wanted the high–paying, and intelligent career I had always wanted, even though it wouldn't make me happy. What other option do I have? Smart kids don't go into music. Amidst the darkness and confusion, I heard a voice, the voice of my band director, she said, "do what makes you happy, I know you won't regret it in the long run". In the back of my mind this made perfect sense, so I started to question myself, what makes me happy? I searched and searched through myself for the answer, and then it finally after 10 years, came to me– music. It had been right in front of me all along. Band was the only part of the day I was never stressed about, and always looked forward to. I always listened to classical music in my spare time, and was always constantly practicing the flute, oboe, or clarinet to relieve stress from all of my other classes. The Band Hall had essentially been my home for Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

High School Admission Essay Sample I am very interested in attending Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life sciences and pursuing a major in Biology and Society. Pursuing this major allows me to incorporate a passion of mine, Biology, in the context of the sociocultural forces it is sure to be applied in. This is not only intellectually stimulating but also relevant to my upbringing. I am a Modern Orthodox Jew and have grown up in a community governed by strict cultural laws. While the preservation of life under Jewish law is regarded as the top priority, the application of necessary health care must be reconciled with values (for example modesty) that a strictly secular physician would not naturally consider. Attending a dual curriculum high–school has further deepened my understanding of the sensitivities and needs of my specific community. For the past four years, I have devoted half of my school day to of traditional general studies, and the other half, to discussing and reviewing the philosophy, ethics, and reasoning behind secular and Jewish Law. This, combined with the urge to get to the bottom of things, wether that be the basic chemical interactions and ...show more content... I starkly remember stabilizing the neck of an 11 year old girl's who fell on her head while attempting to dismount from her councilor's shoulders. While my actions matched perfectly the instructions of my Red Cross Certified training, I can recall saying a quick prayer in my head for her. Additionally, after a team of EMTs arrived and took over her care, I, somewhat shellshocked, joined the rest of the camp for a moment of prayer, admittedly needing some Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Every aspect of Penn has impressed and convinced me that it's my dream school. The campus is beautiful and it's only a fifteen minutes drive away from my house. To me, the urban yet historical city of Philadelphia is still a mystery box that's waiting to be explored. The diversity and intense curriculum match the setting in which I wish to engrossed myself for the next four years. As of right now, I'm fascinated by a variety of majors including economics, mathematical economics, and psychology. I haven't decided which one I want to pursue but I know that the advisors at the College of Arts and Sciences will guide me to make the best decision. Unlike many school , The College's liberal arts foundation offers a variety of flexible academic disciplines bestowing upon me a chance to explore my miscellaneous interests. My High School Career Essay Through out my high school career I never took my education seriously. For most of the four years it was a big blur. I'm not quite sure if it was because of me or if I found myself blaming my surroundings or teachers for my lack of focus and strive to learn. A failure can mean different things to everyone else. Maybe there's just different types or categories of failures. These failures are meant to teach us something, or motivate us to simply not make these mistakes again. I remember going into my freshman year of high school nervous but excited because I thought I'd learn so many new things. Next thing you know I found myself dreading school. Was I being lazy? Was it my lack of motivation? I still can't grasp why exactly I lost that excitement or that yearning to go to school. I was raised to have the idea that school was a place to learn not socialize. But at the age of 14, what teenagers don't want to socialize and that's what got a hold of me. I spent too much time worrying about other things that didn't involve my education . Once I became a junior in high school I had been too far in the process of skipping school, not paying attention, and putting all my focus on other things. I'm not saying I didn't learn things while or whenever I did go to because I learned a lot of things but not enough. I didn't reach my full potential. I think this was the year I made friends who weren't as great of influence. So, at this point my lack of focus on my education was because of Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

Example Of Narrative Writing High School "STAND BY!" I yell the first words of the morning as the lights flick on and bodies fly out of bed. It's 0630 in the North West side, upstairs barracks of building 835 at Camp San Luis Obispo, and I'm waking up 14 of the best people I'll ever meet. There's frantic shuffling, and immediate silence after everyone's out of bed, feet flush with the corner of the bedpost staring straight ahead, not moving an inch. "You've got 5 minutes to get ready for PT. MOVE!" The stillness is broken and the chaos continues as everyone rushes to grab their toiletries. I was in their place exactly a year ago, and now it's my turn to give back to the Cadet Training Group. I'm not anything special here, only a teacher for the next generation in a 40 year tradition. Motivation for High School Students Essay 1 Milestone3: Motivation for High School Students Sharon Robinson Walden University 2 Milestone 3: Motivation For High School Students With so many of life many failure attempts to succeed in life, we see those individuals that have dropped out of school and feel that their life now seems meaningless. Their determination or will power wasn't strong, and they had no one to push them forward to want to be a better person or succeed in life. This is when the teacher should consider providing fun and games, praise, and love within the classrooms, making the classroom exciting and more interesting. Before entering the classrooms, teachers should sit and study each individual student and learn their likes and dislikes. They should know what particular student need help in what particular subject. Some students need more help in other subjects than other students. This is when teachers should consider making their lesson plans focusing on subject matters that are current and relevant to high school students, implementing cooperative learning strategies with their lesson plans while students show off their talents. If students are demonstrating what they have learned in a skit, they tend to learn more positively. When providing fun and game within the classrooms, the students are excited about attending class because they already know something very eventful is going to take place in that particular class. Not only are they learning they are having fun while doing so. They are able to act out some of their personal talents, giving others a sense of who they really are, and what some of their greater skills may be. As acknowledge in the article "How to Motivate High School Students," "By allowing students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in a way that appeals to their strengths, you're giving them a chance

High School Application Essay Sample As a child I always had a voice to be heard around the house, whether it was singing along to my favorite Barney songs or bossing my younger brothers around, my home was consistently filled with conversations of humor and sincerity. Soon after the Barney years came to an end, I turned into a chatty pre–teen. Life was moving along conversation to conversation, until it stopped. At the age of twelve, I was rushed to the hospital for what seemed to be a simple headache, but turned out to be a brain abscess– which required two invasive brains surgeries. Descriptive Essay About High School Panic, anxiety, lost, confused, this is what I felt as I arrived on campus. I am sixteen, a junior in high school, and this was my first day attending a college course. My expectations of what the campus, teachers, and people were like, was nothing compared to what I ended up experiencing. On Tuesday, August 24th, I began the next step towards my future. I arrived at 12:20pm, my first class was Introduction to Psychology with Professor Sample at 12:45pm. My palms were sweating, my stomach was turning, my mind was racing. This is really happening, I kept thinking to myself. Luckily, I had two common faces to embark on this journey with me. My best friend since middle school, blonde, taller, Noelle Stevens. Along with an individual I have come to know and be close with over the past year, Ocean Klein. As we were pulling into the parking lot, I noticed many differences between Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and Licking Valley High School , almost instantly. My eyes were pealed to the huge and colorful building. They were nothing like my simple high school building I attend. The very next item that drew my attention was, the way individuals were dressed. Girls looked comfortable in the heat. At licking valley high school, the dress code is very restrictive. Bottoms can be no shorter than four inches above the knee, shirts must cover shoulders and bra straps, and there are to be no holes showing skin in tops and above the knee of bottoms. On the other hand, at Central Ohio Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

High School Admission Essay Sample Ever since I was younger I have always wanted to help others. I seemed to have an urge to become a doctor because I knew that they helped people. My interests peaked when my grandmother would take me to visit her work. She was a CNA at a nursing home. I was fascinated with everyone wearing their scrubs and just being within the busy atmosphere. My wanting to become a doctor real grew during my high school experience. I had always excelled in the sciences so I took all the required courses, but I also took AP Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. During my senior year, they offered a program for those interested in the medical field, however, it required a selective competition with my other academically inclined peers. The process also had my ...show more content... That day, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor that really cared about my patients and that I had earnest interactions with all of them. I just wanted to help people and have a positive impact on their lives. So, when I began my undergraduate program at Knox College, I majored in Biology as that was the pre–med track general route. As such, I needed to take one psychology course which I had to take online due to my many pre–med requirements. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the course although it was online. The course was very interactive as the professor from Waubonsee had online presentations of the chapter summaries. Don't know if it was because she was so passionate about her field or if I just enjoyed her quicks and personality, but I decided to take psychology as I potential second major. I figured psychology would be beneficial in a field working with people. Furthermore, during that same year I decided to join Alpha Phi Omega, a co–ed community service fraternity because I really enjoy volunteering. I also decided to take a leadership role and ran to become treasurer. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the organization so much that I decided to run for Get more content on StudyHub.Vip

High School Application Essay I am a unique candidate for University High School because I have a lot of experience with public speaking and working with Special Olympics. I have years of experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm to contribute to the Speech Team, Musicals, and Plays. I seek out opportunities to grow and become more confident in my public speaking daliy. Some of my past and current speaking and performing opportunities include being selected for the lead role in the junior high play the past two years, saying the pledge of allegiance every morning on the announcements at the junior high I attend, receiving the Judges Award for outstanding performance two years in a row in the Junior High Speech team competition, and introducing author Roland K Smith to the 7th graders when he ...show more content... Last year I spoke to approximately 3,000 people throughout two church services which involved writing my own script and preparing to speak. In addition to my academic speaking and performing opportunities, I auditioned for a spot on the church Video Team as a third grader. Being a part of the team required memorizing scripts, filming in front of a video camera, and reading from teleprompters. After 'aging out' of the team, I was asked by the director to assist with helping the younger kids learn their scripts and assist with running the teleprompter. This thought, this experience on a regular weekend, at the community health fair became a driving force throughout my later high school years and college career. My family has always been involved with seva, which translates to selfless service to society. This concept is something I chose to adopt at an early age. The other constant throughout my childhood was my family's emphasis on education. My parents always reiterated that a good society has its foundation in education.
