e learned in this class is about myself, I have learned that art is much more important in my life than I thought it was. and how the art that I have been exposed to growing up has helped to shape me and inspire me throughout adulthood. I have learned that despite its young age, the United States has an extremely rich art culture that is a unique blend of the many cultures that call her home. I have also learned that it is that art and those cultures that have helped define what it means to be American.
In regard to local arts. I have the privilege of living in the Pacific Northwest amongst a diverse community of many cultures and perspectives. despite this I do believe there is room for positive change and influence that can be shared through various forms of art. One way that I think is always amazing is through
a Music and Arts Festival, the Festival can be performers and artists from the local area and not famous groups. there can be food, Music and Art that represent the community and its vision. proceeds from the festival can go to local charities, parks, or organizations. I believe that in a word that is currently so deeply divided politically, an even like this can bring a community together to highlight those things that we do have in common.
