The cyclic nature of citric acid cycle (CAC) and the chain nature of glycolysis.

Introduction:

Energy is released in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the cells. The glucose molecule is the precursor molecule for this reaction, which undergoes a series of processes to release energy. The first step in the metabolism of glucose is glycolysis, which gives pyruvate as the end product. The pyruvate initiates the CAC after undergoing a series of conversions.
