Introduction:
Vegetative propagation or vegetative reproduction is the process of multiplication in which a portion of the fragment may be root, stem, and leaf of the plant body. It functions as propagators and develops into a new individual. Vegetative propagation can be brought by various artificial techniques such as grafting, layering, cutting, bulb, tuber or stolon formation, and tissue culture.
Some plants are able to multiply by vegetative methods, which involve the production of new plants without the act of fertilization or sexual union. On the other hand, in sexual reproduction, plants which consist of reproduction units termed as flower consist of various subparts. (Androecium and Gynoecium)
