Introduction:

Meristematic tissue contains undifferentiated cells, which can give rise to all the other specialized tissues and organs of the plant. It is present in the growing parts of plants and keeps the plants growing their entire lives. The meristematic tissue is of different types depending on the part of the plant it is present, namely the apical meristem, lateral meristem, and primary meristems, or transitional meristems.
