Concept Introduction:

Palladium/Hydrogen reduction reaction: The alkenes or alkynes can be reduced to alkanes with H₂ in the presence of metal catalyst (Pd). The new C-H σ bonds are formed simultaneously from H atoms absorbed into the metal surface.

Chiral center: The molecules having four different groups attached to central carbon atoms it is called chiral center. Each chiral center in a molecule will be either R or S.
