Mole ratio:

A mole ratio is a ratio between the numbers of moles of any two species involved in a chemical reaction.

Example:

Consider the reaction,

  2KClO32KCl+3O2

The desired product in the reaction is Potassium Chloride.  The moles of KCl belong to the numerator of the mole ratio.  The starting substances are KClO3.  The moles of KClO3 then belong to the denominator of the mole ratio.

In the mole ration the coefficients of the balanced equation are used.  Therefore the mole ratio is 2molKCl2molKClO3.
