Chapter 9, Problem 18RQ
Summary Introduction

Viroids are the small infectious agents which consists of single stranded RNA as their genetic material. Their nucleotide is very short size with 399 nucleotide without any outer protein capsid. Viroids are mostly pathogenic to plants due to their small genome size. The most common viroid are potato spindle tuber viroid and coconut cadang-cadang viroid. Viruses are infectious agents as like viruses but it has wide range of hosts like animals, humans and plants.
