Too many boys. Long, long ago and far, far away, an emperor believed that there were too, too many males and not enough females. To correct this wrong, the emperor decreed that, as soon as a woman gave birth to a male child, she would not be permitted to have any more children. If the woman gave birth to a female, she would be allowed to continue bearing children. What was the result of this decree? After the decree, what fraction of the babies will be male? Carefully explain your answer.
