Theorem 6.3:
The opposite sides of quadrilateral are said to be congruent if quadrilateral is said to be parallelogram.
The theorems are converses of each other since the hypothesis of one is the conclusion of the other. The hypothesis of Theorem 6.3 is “a figure is of parallelogram (▱) ”, and the hypothesis of 6.9 is “both pairs of opp. sides of a quadrilateral are congruent (≅) ”.
