Explanation of Solution

Given information :

R(-8, -2), S(-6, 7), T(6, 7), U(4, -2)

Diagnols are RT and SU.

Equation for RT is,

$\begin{array}{l}y+8=\left(\frac{7+2}{6+8}\right)\left(x+2\right)\\ y=\frac{9}{14}\left(x+2\right)-8\end{array}$

Equation for SU is,

$\begin{array}{l}y-7=\left(\frac{-2-7}{4+6}\right)\left(x+6\right)\\ y=\frac{-9}{10}\left(x+6\right)+7\end{array}$

Now we shall equate both equations we get,

$x=-1,y=\frac{5}{2}$
