Introduction: Cellular respiration can be defined as a set of metabolic reactions plus the processes that occur inside the cells. Three major phases of cellular respiration are glycolysis, Krebs cycle, and electron transport chain (ETC). The ETC occurs only in the presence of oxygen. The ETC yields 34 ATPs per molecule of glucose.
