Introduction: Aphotic zones are those zones where the lights cannot penetrate. As the name suggests Aphotic means “absence of light”. The different types of aquatic biomes are lakes, wetlands, streams, rivers, estuaries, intertidal zones, oceanic pelagic zones, coral reefs, marine benthic zones, and so on.
