Program Plan Intro

Input and Output with files:

C++ programming language provides some classes in order to perform operation using input and output files. By using those classes, data can be written into the file and also they can be retrieved from the file. The classes are as follows:

• ofstream – It is called as output file stream. It is a stream class that is used to write information into the files.
• ifstream – It is called as input file stream. It is a stream class that is used to read data from the files.
• fstream – It is a stream class that is used to both read and write data.

Algorithm to write number into the file “numbers.txt”:

• Include the header file “fstream” for file operations.
• Create an object for “ofstream” class.
• Open the file “numbers.txt” using “open ()” function.
  • Use “for” loop to write numbers from 1 through 100 into the file “numbers.txt”.
    • Use insertion operator (<<) to write numbers.
• Close the file using “close()” function.
