How many '‘accelerators” do you have in your car? There are at least three controls in the car which can be used to cause the car to accelerate. What are they? What accelerations do they produce?
How many “accelerators” do you have in your car? There are at least three controls in the car which can be used to cause the car to accelerate. What are they? What accelerations do they produce?
Answer to Problem 1Q
Solution:
In my car, there are four accelerators
(1)The gas pedal
(2)The brake
(3)The clutch
(4)The steering wheel
There must be at least three controls in the car as following
(1)The gas pedal
(2)The brake
(3)The steering wheel
The acceleration produced by the gas pedal:
Using the gas pedal speed of the car is controlled by depressing the pedal or releasing the gas pedal.
The brake pedal:
It is used to decrease the speed of the car by depressing the brake pedal.
The steering wheel:
It is used to change the direction of the wheel.
Explanation of Solution
Concept used:
Accelerators are those which can produce acceleration in the car either by changing the speed of the car or by changing the direction of velocity.
The gas pedal:
When the gas pedal is pushed more fuel is injected and this makes the engine turn faster and increase the speed of the wheel.
The brake pedal:
It decreases the speed of the car by pressing the car wheel rim to stop it.
The steering wheel:
The steering wheel is used to change the direction of motion (velocity)by rotation of steering wheel. Change in the direction of velocity can produce acceleration.
