The significance of extracellular fluids (ECF) present in mobile and large animals.

Introduction:

The circulatory system refers to the organ system, which is involved mainly in the transportation of the nutrients, gases, wastes, and other important materials in and out of the cell, tissues, and organs. It can be of two types: open system and closed system. In animals with the closed type of circulatory system, some of the fluids leak out from the small capillaries into the extracellular spaces present between the cells. This fluid is called as ECF.
