Explanation of Solution
Dalton’s atomic theory is based on two laws, the first is the law of conservation of mass and the second law is the law of definite proportions.
Dalton’s hypothesis stated that the study of atoms can be used to explain the law of conservation of mass and the law of definite proportions. The theory explains that the matter is made up of small, indivisible particles known as atoms.
Hence, Dalton’s theory states that all the matter comprises of indivisible atoms and each atom of a particular element has equal mass, also the properties of each atom is same.
