Interpretation:

The only compound that can be prepared as the major product of the addition of $\text{HBr}$ to an alkene from the given alkyl halides is to be stated. The reason as to why the other two cannot be prepared as the major product of the addition of $\text{HBr}$ to an alkene is to be stated.

Concept introduction:

Carbocations are the reaction intermediates and they contain the electron deficient positively charged carbon atom. The electron deficient carbon is $s{p}^2$ hybridized. A carbocation has the tendency to rearrange itself to become a more stable carbocation. The carbocations are classified on the basis of alkyl substitution.
