Question
Chapter 4, Problem 3MC
Summary Introduction
Introduction
Scientists have pinpointed several types of brainwaves that occur during the human sleep cycle. There are alpha waves, delta waves, and theta waves. Each looks different on an EEG, and each denotes a different phase in the sleep cycle and a different depth of sleep. There are even some types of brain waves that mimic the types of waves we tend to see when we're not asleep at all! Although this can sound confusing, sleep experts are trained to spot these and to know the difference.
