To determine: The reason why Ebola and Marburg hemorrhagic fever are lethal.
Introduction: Ebola virus disease (EVD) is caused by the Ebola viruses belonging to the genus Ebolavirus and family Filoviridae. Ebola viruses are negative-strand RNA viruses and are primarily spread in humans by contact with bodily fluids. Infection with Ebola viruses causes different degrees of hemorrhagic fever.
RNA viruses of Filoviridae family cause Marburg disease accompanied by a hemorrhagic fever.
