Chapter 37.2, Problem 2C
Summary Introduction

To predict: The way by which a flower would pollinate if it is small, inconspicuous without petal, a scent or nectar.

Concept introduction: A flower is a reproductive part of a modified thick shoot of an angiosperm plant. For creating offspring for the next generation, plants undergo the pollination though transferring pollen grains from the male anther to the female stigma either in the same flower or in a different flower. The environmental agents or animals are the pollination vectors which help to transfer the pollen from anther to stigma.

describe the role of insects in the pollination process.
Look at the flower, observe color, size of petals and height of stamen and pistil. What type of pollination does it present? - Self pollination - wind cross pollination - bird cross politicization
The Dodder plant is famous for strangling other plants. Explain how tropisms are used in the plant. Roses have open petals while other plants such as dog tails don't. Explain how the structure and shape of different species of plants affect their pollination.
