Introduction: Manures are organic matters (plant and animal wastes) that are widely used as a nutrient source for plants. Manures release nutrients once they decompose. In general, manures are derived from human, animal, and plant residues. Fertilizers and synthetic chemicals are also used to nourish the plant and to enhance the productivity of the crop. Major sources of manures include cattle shed wastes-dung, urine, poultry waste, slaughter-house waste, crop wastes, human habitation waste, and green manure crops.
